Oh, to be a Kardashian

It’s expected to be the biggest TV wedding ever – and we wouldn’t expect anything less. Kim Kardashian likes going big – and that includes the giant of a guy who has put the rock on her petite finger.

Basketball player Kris Humphries – he’s four years younger than 30-year-old Kim – popped the question at the end of May.

It was an elaborate proposal: he asked her stepfather, former Olympic decathlete Bruce Jenner, for her hand in marriage before spelling out ‘‘Will you marry me?’’ in rose petals at her Beverly Hills home.

‘‘It was all so romantic,’’ the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star gushed. ‘‘I finally found my missing puzzle piece – I’m complete!’’ She adds she wants her wedding to be ‘‘something special and intimate for my family and friends’’.

But if her giant 20,5 carat, $2-million (R13,5 million) diamond engagement ring is any indication, the nuptials won’t be low-key.

‘‘Kim goes big,’’ Younger sister Khloe says. ‘‘It’s not going to be small. I joke and I say it will be like the royal wedding because she’s just like that. I don’t want to help because Kim is going to be such a bridezilla.’’

Kim, who was recently named entrepreneur of the year by Glamour magazine, is worth an estimated $21 million (about R141 million) and earned $12 million (about R81 million) last year alone.

Fiancé Kris has earned $16 million (about R108 million) in his seven-year basketball career and makes $3,2 million (about R22 million) a year playing for the New York Jets. (Kim is said to have helped him to pay for her ring.)

Mom Kris is the driving force behind her girls. ‘‘My fantasy is to have Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 26,’’ the 55-year-old mother-of-six says. ‘‘Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids.’’
