Mercy Brewer proves getting older is sexy too.

Big up to this New Zealand lingerie company who instead of featuring a 20-something model, opted to hire a 56-year-old to star in their campaign for their latest Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.

Speaking about being chosen for Lonely Lingerie, Mercy Brewer, a model, told New Zealand website Stuff: “Perceptions of beauty have and always will change, therefore I think we can conclude its standard is not set in stone, and new beauty is always waiting to be discovered.

'Mercy's life is so rich & interesting, embodies the Lonely spirit so perfectly & so became the muse for our latest campaign'. - Helene Morris #LonelyLingerie

"I believe we are in a moment in time where older women’s beauty has been a startling revelation. If we don’t recognise it, we, every one of us, deny ourselves a future to look forward to.”
Lonely Lingerie's co-founder and designer Helene Morris says they're proud to represent the older woman.
“The beauty and fashion industries are so obsessed with youth, but the reality is we are all aging, and there are so many wonderful things about growing older.
So often the primary message around age is intervention, which is a frustrating response to such a natural, inevitable process.”
