One of Oscar Pistorius' psychiatrists at Weskoppies has suffered a heart attack, leaving his mental evaluation report unsigned.

Dr Leon Fine, one of the psychiatrists who evaluated murder-accused Oscar Pistorius, has had a heart attack. This occurred on Thursday night, causing a delay in the handing over of Pistorius’ psychiatric evaluation report.

Oscar Pistorius has completed his month-long mental observation at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.

The report evaluates whether the Paralympian appreciates the difference between right and wrong, and could act on that appreciation on the morning he shot Reeva Steenkamp.

Additionally, it examines whether he has generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), and whether his could have resulted in so-called ‘diminished capacity’.

Karyn Maughan, a reporter for eNCA, tweeted the details of the news.

Pistorius will appear in the North Gauteng High Court on Monday.
