In the wake of Gareth Cliff's departure, 5FM listeners can now listen to radio personality Poppy Ntshongwana on her own show, on weekdays from 10am-1pm.

“Poppy has grown with 5FM," says Tim Zunckel programme manager. "She embodies the essence of what 5FM represents and it is phenomenal to have a female presenter in the daytime line-up."

"It’s something that 5FM has been without for a long time and I am excited that Poppy will bring a different element to our programming."

Poppy, who used to be a news anchor on the Fresh Drive (3-7pm) show with Dj Fresh, is taking over from Rob Forbes and Fix who are on from 09am- 12pm. The station has also changed their time slots.  If you’re wondering about Rob and Fix they’ll be keeping you entertained from 1-4pm.

Sureshnie Rider will continue to have your current affairs and relevant news covered on both Poppy and Rob Forbes and Fix show.

Weekend breakfast host Thomas Msengana will be joined by news presenter Nadia Ramanos and Jude van Wyk for sports. Together they will form the Weekend Breakfast team on Saturday and Sunday from 7-10 am.
