Pork schnitzel gourmet sandwich

Go gourmet with this wonderful taste sensation between the slices

Preparation time: 15 min

Cooking time: 25 min

Serves 4

4 pork steaks

salt and pepper

250 ml (1 c) flour

1 egg

15 ml (1 T) milk

500 ml (2 c) fine breadcrumbs

200 ml oil for shallow-frying

1 loaf of bread of your choice, unsliced

lettuce, washed and drained

2 firm tomatoes, sliced

1 jar (300 g) onion marmalade

1 Flatten the pork slightly with a meat tenderizer.

2 Add salt and pepper to the flour and dust the steaks with the seasoned flour. Whisk together the egg and milk and set aside.

3 Put the egg mixture in a deep plate and the breadcrumbs in another.

4 Heat the oil in a frying pan. Dip the floured steaks in the egg, then in the crumbs, and fry until golden brown and cooked through.

To assemble: Cut the bread into 8 slices, each 2 cm thick. On half the slices arrange lettuce leaves, the pork, tomato slices and a spoonful of onion marmalade. Top with the remaining slices.
