Sauvignon sangria

Welcome summer with this refreshing variation on the classic Spanish drink.

3 x 750 ml sauvignon blanc or

pink blush wine

1 litre cranberry juice

10 juniper berries

5 star anise pods

3 cinnamon sticks

rind of 1 lemon

2 lemons, quartered

handful of fresh mint

ice cubes (optional)

Mix the ingredients in a bowl, transfer to a jug and serve.
