Snooki is snapping back into shape just six days after giving birth. The reality TV star gave birth to daughter Giovanna, her second child with fiancé Jionni LaValle, at the weekend. And despite having to look after a newborn and her two-year-old son Lorenzo, Snooki isn’t letting her diet and exercise regime fall by the wayside. Sharing a picture of herself on Instagram on Thursday, Snooki showed off her already flat stomach in a grey top and black leggings.

She captioned the shot: “6 days postpartum, still have a long ways to go, but working out throughout my pregnancy has definitely helped my body snap back quicker and recovery time more faster!”

Snooki is doing her utmost to get back into shape ahead of her wedding to Jionni this November.

However, the 26-year-old said she is sticking to a plan that works alongside breastfeeding.

“I’m trying to figure out a meal plan where I can be strict, but healthy enough to breast-feed Giovanna,” Snooki told In Touch Weekly magazine. “I’ve been eating egg white omelets, protein muffins, eggplant and chicken.”

“I have to cut down on fruit because of the sugar. I can’t even eat apples with peanut butter anymore. I have to fit into that dress!”

Snooki is also making sure she exercises regularly to shed the pounds. But the petite star is taking things easy to start with.

“I’m going to wait about four weeks and then start walking on the treadmill gradually, just doing a couple of miles,” Snooki said. “Once six weeks hits, I’m going hard-core with my trainer.”
