Durban business woman Shauwn Mpisane and her husband Sbu are to launch their new soccer club at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend.

The couple bought Sivutsa Stars in April and renamed it Royal Eagles. It is unclear how much they bought the team for.

"You know I don't talk about figures," Shauwn says when asked how much the club was. "All I can tell you is that this weekend we are launching the teams soccer jersey and also relaunching it as a KZN club." The club was originally based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

According to the Premier Soccer League fixture list, the club would play in the national first division with its first match kicking off on August 22, against Baroko FC at Durban's Chatsworth Stadium.  The team's  head coach remains Duncan Lechesa and the team manager is Richard Makhoba. With the help of  former  Hellenic and Santos player Jeremy Wyngaard, the couple will use the team to develop young players.

Meanwhile last night, Shauwn attended the Govan Mbeki Awards presented by Human Settlements minister Lindiwe Sisulu where her company,  Zikhulise Cleaning & Transport, had been nominated for two housing awards.

Zikhulise Cleaning & Transport had won the Kwa-Zulu Natal leg of the awards in the Best Female Contractor category and the Best In City Upgrade. "Even if I din't win the national awards, it means that I am recognised for the work I do. In her speech, minister Sisulu said we are all winners, I am happy  that I am among the best."  The criminal charges  relating to inflated suppliers' invoices  are a thing of the past, she says.
