Someone left this awful scrape on a student’s car – but they made up for it with a hilarious note

“I opened the note and started instantly laughing hysterically.”

When Thomas Callow finished his English exam at Bridgewater State University, he didn’t expect to find a note on his 2001 Chevy Malibu.

“I thought the note was a parking ticket because I get those every day,” Thomas, from New Bedford, Massachusetts in the US, said.

Fortunately, it wasn't a fine. Someone had scraped the back of Thomas’ car, and seemingly done the responsible thing by leaving a note.

But it wasn’t their contact or insurance details they’d left for Thomas to find.

“Anyways, I opened the note and started instantly laughing hysterically.”

The note read, “Yo I hit your car. I’m leaving this note cause someone’s watching … They’re still watching … Okay I’m good. My bad ****. Peace.” note close up The 20-year-old decided to share the bizarre incident on Twitter with the caption: “Not even mad about the scratches lmfao.....Hands down the funniest thing that has ever happened to me only in NewB”.

The tweet got over 50 000 retweets, and it turns out all the attention is working out rather well for Thomas.

“I have gotten over 50 girls’ phone numbers, so life is pretty good,” he said.

One person has reached out to Thomas claiming to be the mysterious person who penned the note, but Thomas couldn’t be bothered as he doesn’t plan on fixing his 15-year-old vehicle.

“I really don’t care,” he said.
