Sounds like something from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, doesn’t it?

Thanks to a Spanish physicist’s ingenuity a unique ice cream  that changes colour could be on sale soon, Spanish newspaper Cocinatis reports.

The ice cream was created by physicist Manuel Linares, who called it Xamaleón, a reference to the Spanish word for chameleon.

The ice cream starts off blue and after being sprayed with a special “love extract”,as Manuel calls it, it turns dark pink within about 15 seconds. As you lick it it continues to change colour to various shades of pink and purple.

According to The Mirror, the ice cream is fruit-flavoured and people are queuing to sample it at Manuel’s shop in the town of Calella de Mar. He plans to launch it internationally.

Manuel doesn’t want to reveal the secret of his ice cream but told the Diai de Girona newspaper the magic is in the special extract.
