  • Wasabi (horseradish paste) It prevents tooth decay.
  • Fish It’s rich in omega fatty acids, which promote heart health and good metabolism.

  • Nigiri An oval-shaped heap of rice topped with a strip of raw fish.
  • Maki (sushi roll) Thin slices of fish or vegetables surrounded by rice and wrapped in nori.

Did you know?

Real sushi chefs practise making sushi rice for a year before being allowed near a sushi mat. So don’t give up; keep trying.
