Taylor Swift has turned into a Bridezilla, according to reports.

The singer is maid of honour at her childhood best friend Britany Maack’s upcoming nuptials. Despite the fact she isn’t the one getting married, it reportedly hasn’t stopped the 25-year-old from getting heavily involved in the planning.

“Taylor helped choose Britany’s wedding dress, and she’s getting involved with picking the menu too, saying they could serve her friend Karlie Kloss’ own-brand cookies for dessert,” a source told British magazine Heat. “She even suggested that [her boyfriend] Calvin Harris could do a two-hour set at the reception. He might not want to do it, but Taylor’s insisting.”

'Everyone’s saying it’s because Taylor’s desperate to get married herself'

Taylor has known Britany, also 25, since they were small children, growing up together in Reading, Pennsylvania. The bride asked the singer to be maid of honour in February but she is reportedly beginning to have a hint of regret about her decision.

“Britany’s starting to feel she may lose all control of her wedding to Taylor, but she loves her and doesn’t want to tell her to back off in case she gets upset,” the insider continued. “Everyone’s saying it’s because Taylor’s desperate to get married herself that she’s so excited about Britany’s day.”

The star herself has recently spoken about her involvement in the wedding plans. And it seems she’s been able to take advantage of her star power to get her best friend exactly what she wants.

“I’ve never been maid of honour before. This is my first time, and it’s really important to me, because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was four,” she told People. “[Designer] Reem [Acra] does the most amazing bridal designs. Britany and I were looking through Vogue and she pointed to this one gown and I was like ‘I wonder if we could go to the showroom?’”

The women were able to and Taylor described it as “the best day ever”.
