Bobby Woord jr, from Lufkin in Texas, America, pushed the child into a pond about two weeks ago.

The authorities say the little boy trusted Bobby enough to follow him to the edge of the pond while her was playing outside.

Bobby knew the child couldn’t swim but still pushed him in. The child, Mason Cuttler, called for help but Bobby turned around and walked off.

The next day Bobby helped to search for Mason. His body was found in the pond.

Bobby’s motive for the murder was allegedly to make room for his unborn child. Bobby, his girlfriend, Mason and other families lived in one house.

Bobby is facing a murder charge and if he’s found guilty he could be given a death sentence.
