They’ve been dubbed Britain’s youngest double murderers after senselessly executing a sleeping mother and her daughter

Now, after initially withholding their identities, police have revealed exactly who the couple is.

Kim Edwards and Lucas Markham, now 15, are the unremorseful teens behind the execution of Elizabeth (49) and Katie Edwards (13) – Kim’s mother and sister.

After being spurred on by Kim, Elizabeth and Katie were repeatedly stabbed in the neck with a kitchen knife by Lucas, in their home in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England.

In an even more shocking revelation, the couple, who were 14 at the time, spent the 36 hours following the murders in April last year, having sex, enjoying a bath and watching four Twilight movies.

When police came across Kim and Lucas, they were lying under a duvet in front of the TV while the bloody bodies of her mother and sister remained upstairs.

Testifying during the trial at Nottingham Crown Court, forensic psychiatrist Philip Joseph revealed that Kim displayed absolutely no remorse over killing her mother.

During the two-and-a-half-hour meeting in September last year to assess her mental state, the juvenile said, “I don’t miss my mum and I’m glad she’s dead even though I’m now in a sticky situation.

“She deserved it. I’m glad she’s dead. We felt laid-back about what we’d done and neither of us felt that bad about it.”

But she added that she did feel a bit sad about taking the life of her 13-year-old sister.

“It’s really quite clear her hatred for her mother drove this ever onwards,” Peter Joyce QC noted in court.

Although Kim attempted suicide about a month before the killings, jurors overruled a claim that she was suffering from a mental disorder, which could have impaired her ability to make sane decisions.

The pair were jailed for a minimum of 17-and-a-half years each.
