The Bling Ring is inspired by actual events. Check out what the cast says about portraying the fame-obsessed group of teenagers who used the internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts to rob their homes. Katie Chang – “It seems sort of plausible just because these days an obsession with celebrities doesn’t seem too far of a cry, but the amount things that they stole shocked me the most”. Israel Broussad – “In a sense, I can see where it got out of hand with these kids. You get caught up in the moment, you get the adrenaline, and then forget to breathe and suffer the consequences”. Emma Watson – “As an actress she says it was really fun (to get to play Nicki) because she’s putting on all these different masks and all these different faces all the time”.

Claire Julien – “There is the one horrible moment, though, where the group comes back from robbing Rachel Bilson’s house and I say, “Look at their Chanel purses, dude,” and then give this terrible laugh. It makes me cringe! I have the worst laugh I’ve ever heard, anyway, but this was unbearable.”  Taissa Farmiga – “Emma and I actually took a pole-dancing class together for the movie.”
