Thai meatballs

Versatile meatballs are always a lifesaver - and with a Thai twist guaranteed to be a winner too!

Preparation time: 10 min

Cooking time: 1 hour

Serves: 6

500 g ground pork

80 ml (? c) fine breadcrumbs

3 leeks, finely chopped

1 egg

15 ml (1 T) soy sauce

15 ml (1 T) fresh ginger

3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

125 ml (½ c) barbecue sauce

30 ml (2 T) hoisin sauce

noodles and vegetables to serve

1.    Put the pork, breadcrumbs, leeks, egg, soy sauce, ginger and garlic in a large bowl and mix gently with your hands. Roll into balls the size of golf balls and add to a pot.

2.    In a small bowl mix together the sauces and pour over the meatballs.

3.    Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour or until meatballs are cooked through. Serve with noodles and vegetables.
