Meet Daisy, a cute little dog who was born with deformed forelegs. She could hardly walk and running was completely out of the question.

As a pup Daisy was found in the streets of Bellflower, California, by an official from the local animal-care organisation. Because she was so crippled staff decided to put her down -- but just seconds before she was due to be euthanized a volunteer agreed to adopt her. Soon after, Daisy, as she was named, began to learn to hop on her hind legs. She would hop wherever she wanted to go.
But that wasn’t good enough for her new family -- they wanted to give her as normal a doggy life as possible. Initially they tried providing her with a small wheelchair but it put a strain on her back. A few months ago Daisy (now five years old) received two specially made prosthetic legs. Her first steps were wobbly and it took some time for her to adapt to her new forelegs. After falling a lot for a few weeks Daisy finally learnt how to keep her balance and walking quickly led to running.

The happy look on her face while running for the first time was captured on camera. It’s enough to melt your heart, whether you’re an animal lover or not.
