The photos were based on the Obamas’ much-talked-about photoshoot for Essence and a super-sweet photo taken before a taping for the 2015 World Expo.

It's been almost six months since the Obamas left office – and it seems people are still not over it yet. During his reign, Barack Obama, the 44th President, and his wife First Lady Michelle became a symbol of a blissful marriage and the perfect family, with their daughters Malia and Sasha. One newly engaged couple were so inspired by the Obamas that they used the former First Couple as inspiration for their engagement photo shoot.

Cassi and Adam recreated some of the iconic photos from Barack and Michelle's time in the White House. Cleveland wedding photographer Natasha Herbert shared some outtakes from Cassi and Adam's presidential shoot.

According to Essence, when the couple sought out Natasha and event planner Covesa Gragg to execute their idea, they only wanted to do one photo, but Natasha and Covesa had other plans.

"I was like let's do an entire shoot – we can do this and this and this," explained Covesa.

“I love when a couple can find something to inspire them and it was nice to see something that hasn’t been overdone.”
