New York is filled with some of South Africa's best.

Former DA parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko isn't lying when she says lots of South Africans are invading New York this week.

Lindiwe, who quit her job to study at Harvard University in the US has been blowing kisses and sharing smiley faces on Twitter for her fellow South Africans who are invading The Big Apple.

3 Talk presenter Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu and designers David Tlale and Thula Sindi are among those who are having a blast at the cosmopolitan city.

“I really really really love New York,” Noleen declared on her Twitter timeline, adding that the long flight was all worth it.

David is showcasing his fashion range at the 4th annual gala at the United Colors of Fashion Inc (UCOF) Academy.

The academy is the NYC-based nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing fashion-focused education; mentorship and counseling; internship opportunities; entrepreneurial development and scholarships to under-resourced youth in the city.
