Here’s proof that dishonesty almost always catches up with you.

A woman faked an injury on the job so that she could claim from the company, but failed to realise that CCTV caught her red-handed.

Sheyla White claimed a sprinkler head at Cinque Terre Energy Partners in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, fell from the ceiling, bounced off her desk and hit her in the head.

She filed a compensation claim, but the insurance company grew suspicious. They launched an investigation and found the footage, which showed that the sprinkler didn’t bounce off Sheyla’s desk, but that she in fact picked up the metal piece and hit herself on the head with it.

The incident took place back in 2015, but fast-forward two years and she is set to pay for her sins.

After she was convicted in August last year, Sheyla has now been sentenced to 18 months’ probation.

This is apparently not her first run-in with the law.

According to Daily Mail, the former teacher was previously under house arrest for six months, after stealing personal identification information from her students in 2010.
