Weight loss starts with the clock, not the scales

Losing weight is apparently no longer about what you eat, but when you eat. A new survey conducted by diet company Forza Supplements revealed which are the optimum times of the day to eat if you want to shed unwanted kilos.

Researchers asked 1 000 dieters when they ate and compared the success of their weight loss with their mealtimes.

According to the research the old adage still holds: you should breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dine like a pauper.

Having a large breakfast is extremely effective if you want to lose weight, especially if you eat at 7.11 am.

The ideal time for having lunch is 12.38 pm. Having supper later than 7 pm doesn’t do your waistline any favours because you’re least active in the evening. The best time to have supper is 6.14 pm.

The study also found skipping meals spells diet disaster and that most people’s resolve to eat healthily weakens between six and 10 in the evening when they’re most likely to break their diet.
