Wellington Mciki (47) is one of 10 South Africans that was born with a genetic illness - Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP). At this stage about 700 people worldwide have been identified with FOP.

Despite being teased when he shuffles around in Gugulethu, Cape Town, Wellington is not giving up on life. His sister, Gladys, is his staunch right-hand.
