This weekend the small screen brings you plenty of laughter with comedies of all kinds. Tonight you can catch Ben Stiller in the kind of comedy/drama he’s made for. On Saturday you can get dose of the Wayans brothers’ special brand of humour, and enjoy some “local is lekker” laughs on Sunday.

Friday 28 February

Greenberg

MNet Comedy (channel 104) 8.45 pm

Ben Stiller stars as a self-obsessed 40-year-old carpenter who returns to LA after years of living in New York to house-sit for his brother. He’s stuck in a rut and wants to use the time to figure out his life. This one’s a must for Ben Stiller fans.

Saturday 1 March

Camille

SABC3 7.30 pm

Young love is so beautiful – especially when Sienna Miller and James Franco play the happy-in-love pair. It’s just a pity their honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls is going to push their love to its limits.

White Chicks

e.tv 8 pm

If you’re more in the mood for laugh-out-loud comedy, fear not – the Wayans brothers are here! Marlon and Shawn take on the roles of cops who’re told to protect two socialites – so the boys dress up as the ditzy blonde heiresses to catch the bad guys while partying in The Hamptons.

Sunday 2 March

Nothing For Mahala

SABC1 8 pm

Local is most definitely lekker! In this proudly-SA flick Thapelo Mokoena and Jamie Bartlett take on the world of crooked get-rich-quick schemes when a career criminal is given community service in a retirement home.

White House Down

M-Net 8.05 pm

Forget every other movie about a president in the White House – this is the only one you need to watch. Mostly for the comedic chemistry between Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum, who play the president and the cop who just happens to be in the right place at the right time.
