Where are your favourite Mean Girls characters now?

In case you missed it, it was recently the 10-year anniversary of Mean Girls. Crazy, right? Back in 2004 we didn’t realise the impact it would have on us, and that it could become the most quotable movie of all time!

Sometimes it’s easy to forget the actors and actresses in this film are actual people who have done other things with their lives. So here is what the cast has been up to!

- Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron)

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know Lindsay (27) has her own show on Oprah's OWN network that documents her life post-rehab. She's trying to get back into Hollywood's good graces, and fingers crossed it works.

- Rachel McAdams (Regina George)

Rachel (35) has definitely had a super-successful career after Mean Girls. She did The Notebook, dated Ryan Gosling and then did a bunch of movies about time travel, including  last year’s About Time.

- Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners)

Thirty-one-year-old Lacey has been working steadily since Mean Girls, with mostly made-for-TV movies and voice gigs – she does have a great voice for cartoon characters! She has a few feature films coming out in 2014 so maybe this will be her year?

- Amanda Seyfried (Karen Smith)

Amanda (28) was basically unknown before Mean Girls and then became a super-in-demand actress. She worked steadily afterwards on shows such as Veronica Mars before blowing up in Mamma Mia in 2008! The actress went on to star in the unfortunate Jennifer's Body with Megan Fox as well as Red Riding Hood and Letters to Juliet, but 2012 was her best year when she landed the role of Cosette in Les Misérables. She has several projects on her roster for the next year, including the new Peter Pan movie, Pan.

- Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian)

Lizzy (31) has been doing well for herself. After Mean Girls, she had a few steady roles in television  series including True Blood. She played Nick’s girlfriend, Julia, on comedy series New Girl and most recently can be seen as Virginia Johnson in drama series Masters of Sex.

- Daniel Franzese (Damian)

Thirty-five-year-old Daniel is making his way back into the public eye with a bunch of projects, from small roles on various TV shows to appearances in short films. He’s currently working on a show called Dating in LA and Other Urban Myths.

- Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels)

Unfortunately, although he's been acting steadily since Mean Girls, Aaron hasn't done anything super successful, but he does host MTV's show Copycat, a new singing competition in which contestants try to sing exactly like famous artists.
