It's the ninth day of Wimbledon, with only three days to go before the big weekend.

Five facts on Wednesday, the ninth day of Wimbledon:

- At 32 years 332 days, Roger Federer is the oldest of Wednesday's quarter-finalists, and at 19 years 70 days Nick Kyrgios is the youngest.

- Kyrgios, the fourth round conqueror of Rafael Nadal, is bidding to become just the fourth wild card in history to reach a Grand Slam semi-final and the youngest Wimbledon semi-finalist since 1990 and Goran Ivanisevic who was aged 18 years 298 days.

- Novak Djokovic is through to his 21st consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final. The last time he failed to reach the last eight at a Grand Slam was at the 2009 French Open.

- Defending champion Andy Murray has dropped 32 games in the first four rounds -- the fewest number of games he has dropped to reach the quarter-finals at a Grand Slam.

- Grigor Dimitrov is bidding to become the second Bulgarian player -- man or woman -- to reach the semi-finals at a Grand Slam. Tsvetana Pironkova became the first Bulgarian to reach the last four at a major at 2010 Wimbledon.
