The dead husband's brother is said to have been a huge support for Ashley and he’s great with the kids.

A young widow who found her husband dead on the couch after they had a heated argument, has now found new love just two months after his death – with her brother-in-law!

In a situation that will surely raise eyebrows, mother of three, Ashley Murrell (33) and Chris, the brother of her late husband Mikey, have hooked up after consoling each other through the tragedy. “Chris and Ashley have been through so much but they have really been there for each other,” a friend told Sun Online.

“Chris has been a huge support for Ashley and he’s great with the kids,” adds the pal. “It’s funny how these things work out.”

Ashley, a beauty therapist, made headlines when it emerged her 36-year-old hubby had died after she banished him to the couch after a late night row. Turns out Mikey, a carpet worker, had returned home exhausted after a 16-hour shift – a situation that didn’t sit well with his wife.

“'When he came home that night he was a mess, I have never seen him so exhausted. I couldn't stand seeing him like that and I got angry. I was sick of it,” she says.

But when she woke up the next morning, she found him lifeless on the sofa. According to his post-mortem he choked in his sleep, however it’s still unclear what caused it.

In another sad twist she also learnt later on that he’d been working extra hours to surprise her with a special anniversary holiday to Prague. “When I found out he’d been saving to take us on an anniversary holiday it was awful – Heartbreaking doesn’t begin to cover it.”

Ashley is now urging people to sort out their arguments before they go to sleep.

“Losing Mikey has changed my entire perspective on life. Life is too short to go to bed angry and not to spend every moment you can with your family.”
