She's since jumped to her philandering husband's defence.

A cheating husband's infidelity was uncovered by his wife after he died in a car accident while returning from a rendezvous with his mistress.

Father of two Kadeel Newby (23) was allegedly driving at 162km/h when he lost control of the vehicle on a bridge while driving without a seat belt on. He and his mistress were catapulted out of the rear window when the car crashed into the bridge railings.

His lover, Natasha Gregson, only suffered a fractured skull and a laceration to her liver. Kadeel was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. The affair came to light when Natasha Gregson regained consciousness and gave her statement to the police. According to The Mirror, Kadeel’s wife Korette listened as details of her husband’s six-day relationship were revealed during an inquest into his death. The 26-year-old mom told the hearing that her husband's behaviour had been out of character in the days leading up to his death.

“We had been bickering before Kadeel’s death which was rare. He only met Natasha six days before the crash. I was told she was obsessed with him," she said.

In a statement to police, Natasha said that Kadeel had told her that he was separated from his ex and had two children.

"I don’t normally go for guys with children. He always picked me up in his Toyota Yaris but he never wore his seatbelt - it was plugged in and he sat on it. When I had been with Kadeel his driving was erratic. He drove like The Stig -- at some points, I wanted to tell him to stop."

The accident happened in the early hours of the morning when Natasha was asleep on their way home after their night out.

"The next thing I remember I was in the hospital. I suffered fractures to my head, two broken wrists and a laceration to my liver.”

Kadeel's wife has defended him saying that people can not judge his 23 years on earth based on what happened in the last few days of his life.
