A Swedish woman suffers from an extreme phobia of cheese that causes her to burst into tears at the mere sight of it

Many people see cheese as a delectable must-have at home and parties.

This woman would disagree.

Anna Bondesson , from Bara, Sweden, suffers from an extreme phobia of cheese that causes her to burst into tears at the mere sight of it.

"The smell is the absolute worst part. I don't understand how anyone can eat something that smells like vomit,” she told the Daily Mirror.

'Physically my body reacts with tears, I start to cry'

The 33-year old business analyst claims to have had the crippling phobia for as long as she can remember.

"One of my colleagues brought his own parmesan flavoured pie and placed it in the microwave at work to heat up," she said.

"It took about two seconds for the cheesy steam to reach my nose and I completely panicked.

Physically my body reacts with tears, I start to cry.

"I can't think of anything but escape. I ran away from the table."

Anna’s phobia has also affected her love life. She once went on a date that was going well till she went to his place afterwards.

"He came into the living room carrying the largest cheese plate I've ever seen," she said.

"I freaked out of course. The tears started to run down my cheeks and I ran out.

"I don't have to tell you that there wasn't any more dates with this guy.

"But it didn't bother me either; I couldn't date anyone who thinks cheese is something so good he has to make it the highlight of the whole day."
