Woman's 'suicide' in lavish Stellenbosch hotel now a murder case

The body of the 47-year-old Johannesburg woman was found in her hotel room in the upmarket Spier wine estate near Stellenbosch.

The body of 47-year-old Susan Rohde, originally from Johannesburg, was discovered in her hotel room on Sunday 24 July on the upmarket Spier wine estate near Stellenbosch.

Initially it was thought that Susan committed suicide, but Netwerk24 reports a murder charge has been filed.

Susan was the wife of Jason Rohde, the CEO of Sotheby's International Realty in South Africa.

No further information surrounding her murder is available at this stage, but the police confirmed they are investigating the case.
