Zahara: "It's all good!"

Sama sensation Zahara wants to bask in the glory of her awards rather than dwell on nasty rumours of family rows and money woes.

After rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of local music at the South African Music Awards (Samas), where she made history by winning eight trophies, the Afro-pop sensation couldn’t wait to return home to celebrate her achievement with the people who know her best.

“I was overwhelmed with emotion because I didn’t expect my community to welcome me back home with so much love,” a radiant Zahara tells us radiant as she walks through the streets of Phumlani, a village near East London, pausing to hug fans who come up to her to congratulate her.
