UNRESTRAINED

Display name: Unrestrained
About Me:

I'm passionately skeptical of any opinion or belief built on questionable foundations. It may sound obvious, but, there's a lot more nonsense floating about out there than one would like to think.

Call me an activist of sorts, but, I'd like to contribute to stamping out this sort of thing.

Whilst I fully agree that people should always make informed choices, i.e. that they should know what they’re eating and that things shouldn’t be snuck onto their plates

Can (rational) pessimism improve your general mood? Simply put, do (irrational) optimists exaggerate their chances of success?

Can (rational) pessimism improve your general mood?

Global warming and climate change are big news these days and it is hardly difficult to see why.

I've been fluctuating between posting and not posting this, as I'm unsure if it's any good or actually conveys what I want it to, but, decision clearly made, here goes.

In short (cutting out a lot of noise), proponents of IC would assert that the complexity of the universe and life could never have come about without an intelligent hand guiding it.

How will it benefit the South African people to give each the salary that they decide that they require.

Where I have noticed some agreement (in theory, but not in practice) is that belief is a personal thing and should not affect the lives of other people.

I am now reasonably convinced that free-market capitalism (and its offshoots) is the way to go.

I’d like to kick things off with an upfront apology to all of those who are sick and tired of the religious debate raging in this forum.

I have been repeatedly reminded that “science has been wrong it the past”, that “it does not have all of the answers”, that “there is disagreement between leading scientists”.
