Why cant you leave religion alone?

I have on a number of occasions started to explain my reasons for opposing religion but have not felt comfortable with the results.

Disclaimer makes it right?

Parent24 carried an article yesterday purporting to be a letter from a father to his son.

FNB or the message?

I was going to reply to Jeeves’ article on the FNB ads and their withdrawal but decided to write this.

Meaning of atheist life?

Many of the theists who comment on the various articles give the impression of not understanding why many atheists or nonbelievers feel the way they do.

Atheist or Areligious?

I describe myself as being atheist but on reflection believe that a more accurate description would be a-religious or antireligious.

Separate religion and state?

There is a veritable roundabout of discussion/comment on religious topics. The same points are repeated ad nauseum with very little progress in having those who hold differing views accept or agree.

Woolworths or BBBEE

Woolworths was more honest in its adverts than most are but all have to meet targets like it or not!

Should it stop?

Over the past week or two there have been a number of people who have expressed negative feelings on the numbers of articles posted that are or have led to religious discussions.

Why get involved?

The only thing I and the many other atheists who contribute on these pages are likely to have in common is the lack of belief in gods.
