THE TASKS:
Each week the housemates get a task to complete. They can decide how much of their weekly allowance they are willing to wager. So far they have only failed one task. Check out some of the more memorable tasks: Note, the newest pics are on top.

TASK: BB wanted the housemates to re-discover their inner child. They all had to master a variety of school playground activities.

TASK: The housemates wrapped presents round the clock in a wrapathon for charity, at the same time they were handcuffed together for 24 hours to promote bonding. At times, life became a bit difficult.

TASK: MAGIC SHOW: The housemates passed this week's Magic Show task with 100%. Riaad won the grand prize of R2 000, a meal of his choice from Nando's, Debonairs or Steers and a massage.

THE TASK: FIRST AID AWARENESS:The housemates did a crash course in first aid awareness. A taxi was lowered into the garden of the Big Brother house as part of the task.

What happened?

TASK: FEAST OR FAMINE: Leigh, Riaad and Nobesuthu showed off their cooking skills on Wednesday. The three prepared a three course meal fit for a king. The housemates had to dress up like Roman gods.

THE TASK: BIG BROTHER TV: The housemates successfully completed their new task. Apart from a brief rain interuption it all went very well.

BE POSITIVE TASK: The housemates launched 550 balloons into the sky for their Be Positive task on Thursday. The balloons were each inscribed with a positive message and a breast cancer awareness ribbon.

THE TASK: BODY PAINTING: The housemates were given photographs of animals to paint on each other's bodies. Each housemate was painted by another housemate to look like the animal they've chosen. Follow their progress and check out the end results.

THE TASK: GUMBOOT DANCING: Gumboot dancing turned out to be the most interesting task thus far. Looking like naughty little boys who have been playing with boot polish, Brad, Ferdi and Steve kicked high.

THE TASK: A BB BEAUTY PAGEANT: The housemates got a chance to show their inner and outer beauty to the world. Their task was to hold a Big Brother beauty pageant in the house and compete for the title of Mr or Ms Big Brother 2001.
