Rustenburg - The exam results of the entire Grade 12 class at St Dominic's, a private school in Rustenburg, have been held back because of possible exam fraud, police confirmed on Friday.
North West police's superintendent Pieter du Plessis said it was alleged that exam invigilators had helped pupils with some of their answers.
The matter was being investigated, but Du Plessis did not expect to be able to report progress until mid- or late January because of school holidays.
Inspector Tyrone Seate said the matter was being investigated by the police's Klerksdorp commercial branch.
The SABC reported on Friday that parents were angry about the matter as their children had been unable to enrol at tertiary institutions without their exam results.
Attempts to get comment from the North West education department were unsuccessful.
