Patricia Lewis denies erotic acting claims

Johannesburg - Blonde bombshell singer Patricia Lewis on Sunday said reports on "steaming sex" scenes in an erotic thriller were published out of context.
She added that The Sunday Times report on her role in a thriller titled Dark Desires: The Other Side of the Mirror released in the early 1990s was sensation-seeking.
"[The editorsÆ] only purpose was to sell newspapers using sensational headlines to attract attention," Lewis said.
She contends the headlines created a false impression as "after reading the article readers soon realised it was not as bad as the headline suggested".
Lewis has admitted to performing in a film "more than six years ago" which featured a "few nude scenes", however, stressed that she had not been part of those scenes.
"I was not in those other scenes, I literally had four or five lines in the whole film," Lewis said. She added that she had been "nothing more than an extra".
The film was one in a series of six Dark Desires films made in South Africa for television. The series was aired on late night German television.
Although the film is not pornographic, it is classed as a category B film: being a film in which ôthe story won't stand in the way of nude or sex scenesö.
Lewis maintains there are more important things to focus on than this: "I wish the whole thing will soon blow over," she said.
