Moscow - Three Russian skinheads have been arrested after beating up a black Zimbabwean student in the latest of a series of racially-motivated attacks in Moscow, Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday.
The three gang members, aged 18, 16 and 12, were arrested shortly after attacking the Zimbabwean man at a metro station, Interfax quoted Moscow police as saying.
Skinheads marked Adolf Hitler's birthday last month by rampaging through a Moscow market run by people from the Caucasus region and stabbing a Chechen man to death near Red Square.
President Vladimir Putin condemned the attacks and has often spoken out against racism, which has become more prominent in the decade following the fall of the Soviet Union.
