Cape Town - Panama locals are unhappy with Survivor South Africa contestants, who, they feel, abused their hospitality from the start.

Video footage from the first episode that viewers didn't get to see, showed members of the Aguila tribe stealing rope, containers, axes and two Panama flags during a raid and taking them to their shelter.

They slept on and bathed with the flags until host Mark Bayly arrived, along with the mayor, to recover them and the rest of the stolen items.

The Aguila members thought it was all a joke and just an interesting development, until they realised to their shock they had to return the goods.

In Sunday's second episode two members of the Aguila tribe start fighting while a romance seems to be blossoming between two others.
