Location of 2010 stadiums

Cape Town - South Africa on Monday announced that it had come to an agreement with Fifa on the location of 10 stadiums for the 2010 World Cup.

They include five existing stadiums which will be refurbished "and upgraded to meet the requirements of Fifa" and five brand new stadiums.

The new stadiums will be the Peter Mokoba stadium in Polokwane in Limpopo province, a stadium at Mbombela in Mpumalanga province, a Nelson Mandela Metro stadium in the Eastern Cape, the Ethekweni Metro/Kings Park Soccer stadium in Durban and the Green Point Track stadium in Cape Town.

The upgraded stadiums will be the First National Bank Soccer City stadium, the Ellis Park stadium and Loftus Versveld all in Gauteng; as well as the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in North West and the Vodacom Park/Bloemfontein stadium in Manguang, Free State.
