Nanyuki - A 22-year-old man in Nanyuki town, Kenya, reportedly killed his 64-year-old girlfriend over the weekend after an altercation.

The assailant, identified as Tony Kiplagat, allegedly killed the businesswoman before dumping her at her home on Saturday night.

The deceased, Priscillah Waithira, was said to have been in relationship with the assailant for only two months.

Wathira's home caretaker Jaldesa Juma Guyo said he went to check at the gate after he heard a knock around 23:00.

"I went out and saw the man standing beside the deceased's vehicle. I approached him and he opened the car boot and he ordered me to check inside and I saw the deceased's body," the caretaker was quoted as saying.

Guyo said the assailant, who was carrying a machete, ordered him not to tell anyone, before taking the lifeless body out of the car and dumping it near the house, Standard reported.

Kiplagat allegedly then covered the body with a sheet before driving off in Waithira's car.

According to The Star, police were still pursuing him.
