Clinton off to Lesotho for Aids

Maseru - Former United States president Bill Clinton will visit Lesotho on Monday for talks with Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili and King Letsie III about HIV/Aids.

Lesotho government secretary, Tlohang Sekhamane said Clinton would open a paediatric clinic at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Maseru.

Letsie would bestow Lesotho's highest honour, The Knight Commander of the Most Courteous Order of Lesotho, on Clinton.

The Clinton Foundation had been working with Lesotho's government since October 2004 to launch a national care and treatment programme for HIV/Aids sufferers.

Clinton would also visit South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania.
