Khartoum - Four people have been killed by an unexploded ordnance (UXO) blast in Sudan's South Kordofan, the UN says, in the latest such case after heavy fighting in the area.

the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha) said in its weekly bulletin: "In Dilling, four people were killed when a UXO exploded while they were farming."

It did not say when the blast occurred.

Rebels from the Sudan Revolutionary Front, an alliance of groups fighting to topple the Khartoum regime, clashed with government forces near Dilling on 27 July.
