Gaza rockets land in Egypt

Cairo - Rockets fired from Gaza early on Sunday landed across the border in Egypt but caused no casualties, state television reported.

"Several rockets from the Gaza Strip landed this morning in Egyptian territory in the region west of the Rafah terminal, without causing casualties," the television reported.

A security official confirmed that rockets had landed in Egypt, but said they could have been fired by mistake.

"It seems they were directed at Israel," the source said on condition of anonymity.

Tensions in and around the Gaza Strip have soared since Thursday when militants staged a series of bloody shooting attacks in the Negev desert, killing eight Israelis and prompting a wave of bloody tit-for-tat exchanges.

Fifteen Palestinians have been killed, nine of them militants, and 47 injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza, while one Israeli has been killed and dozens injured in a barrage of more than 100 rockets and mortars fired on cities and towns in the south.

You would think the fact that a hundred rockets fired at Israel would make the news, but no, the fact that a few were aimed at Egypt makes the headlines...go figure.

@gobble... hahahaha, so true!! To Gaza: Stop any retaliation at every level, save your rockets and build up your reputation for not giving Israel a reason to to fire back at you. Believe me, the western world will take note of this. The western perception for labelling you as 'terrorists' will change and Israel might very well become the underdog. NOTE: I dislike the Zionist but love the Jew. I am also again any form of oppression.

u dislike the zionist but u like the jew? sad what arab propoganda has done. being a jew and a zionist are one and the same, the land of israel is not a seperate ideal to judasim, it is at the very core of judasim. the real defention of a zionist(before arabs decided to change the way the world thinks) is some one dedicated the establishment and preservation of a jewish state in the land of israel. if that means defending our land from foreign forces who wish to kill us, then so be it. id rather be be alive and hated then dead and mourned over. tell your zionist hating buddies to wake up and smell the coffe, that israels actions are only in reply to a nation that wants us dead. peace is a 2 way street that arabs have never once looked like travelling along.

For those of you that dont know: In the past 72 hours Israel has been bombarded by over 50 missiles as well as a terrible terror attack which claimed the lives of 8 innocent people. This has not reached the news at all. No mention of this is on CNN, BBC or SKY. May the world one day wake up and realise what Israel is facing. These are barbaric acts, which can in no way be defended. May G-d protect Israel and its brave citizens!!

Notice how there have been no complaints about this from the Egyptians? Had they been Israeli rockets not only they, but the rest of the world would cry foul.
