Oil leak at Shell field in Nigeria

Lagos - An oil leak has caused a production halt at a Shell facility off Nigeria capable of producing 200 000 barrels per day, the company said on Wednesday, adding that "less than 40 000 barrels" have leaked.

"Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company can confirm it is responding to an oil leak at the 200 000 barrel-per-day capacity Bonga deepwater facility, approximately 120km off the Nigeria coast," a statement said.

      Frack them hey, our seabirds and fisheries are in dangered because of human induced activities. Tough legal actions must taken againts Shell,otherwise they will run away with murder just like Bp.

    Thast is a drop in the ocean compared the the devastation Shell have caused in the Delta. They are a disgusting company with one of the worst environmental records on the planet. Boycot their fuel if at all possible
