Silence on xenophobia is a sin: ACDP

2011-05-06 13:39

Johannesburg - Christians who remain silent in the face of xenophobia are guilty of a sin of omission, the African Christian Democratic Party said on Friday.

"Christians should speak out whenever they hear negative sentiments expressed about foreigners in taxis, shops and in the street because this is how xenophobia begins," said party leader Reverend Kenneth Meshoe.

Meshoe was speaking at a women's prayer meeting in the Nguni Hall in Vosloorus.

He said that judgment of an entire nation or tribe should not be based on the actions of the few, "just as there are good South Africans and bad South Africans".

Queen Mampuru of the Pedi tribe was also in attendance at the meeting.

There should not be any reason or cause for xenophobia. So send the fckers back to their home countries. Problem solved.

something like this will wake them up, but all the Christians killed on farms must remain a taboo subject?

Why is it always only the christians? Who are the christians? Who do they think they are anyway? Being a christian doesn't make you better than others. So please stop with this christian stuff.

      Valis - 2011-05-06 15:06

I agree, why do they always have to give a public forum to these superstitious dolts?

      Gedoente - 2011-05-06 15:31

These Christians have more proof for your existence than you do. So please stop with this anti-christian stuff. By being helping others these Christians justify their existence. If you feel inferior, just go help someone in need and your feelings of self-loathing will wane.

      Gedoente were is the proof.

Just a question. Do the ACDP support gay marriage and abortion? I only ask because if it weren't for those 2 things, I'd vote for DA.

      Kriekertjie - 2011-05-06 15:42

No the ACDP don't support gay marriage and abortion. They stand for the principles and values of the Bible. Too bad the DP fails on these points.

      Spoedvark - 2011-05-06 19:02

Matt, the Constitution itself supports gay marriage and abortion. These are 2 issues the DP can do absolutely nothing about even if they did oppose it. Your question is thus totally academic.
