River Vovodo - Central African Republic, May 13 - Uganda has captured one of the Lord's Resistance Army's top five rebels, bringing it a step closer to catching Joseph Kony, the LRA leader accused of war crimes, the military said on Sunday.

Uganda People's Defence Forces said Caesar Achellam, a major general in Kony's outfit of about 200 fighters, had been captured in an ambush on Saturday along the banks of the River Mbou in neighbouring Central African Republic.

They said Achellam had been armed with just an AK-47 rifle and eight rounds of ammunition. He was being held with his wife, a young daughter and a helper.

This is a joke factor.i cant imagine how people get this fooled. The cptured man is a gesture to the imperialists and capitalist. This is how certain political leaders play such gruesome games on human lives. Is the so called cia the most intelligent?NO.Do they know the corners of the LRA?NO.With dodgy copperation from the nrm government the claim to have captured a big fish. This buffles me and leaves me with one thing in mind, the cia and the world at large have been fooled to a cheap trick. What happened to the 90 days museveni gave the people of uganda to capture kony?Dont forget the so called operation headed by his brother aka salim sale(akandwanaho caleb)who went on a tribal cleansing spree that left thousands homeless and refugees in dire condition. The nrm perticipated in torturing civiians, mutilating ther lips and claimed it was kony, because of language barriercivilians in gulu suffered at the handa of the nrm government troops as the civilians were seen as spies to the lra since they all speak the same language. How can we let this happen in the wolrd of today? Then the so called cia wants to play "HERO" in such a situation where the people of gulu have been tortured by both government soldiers and rebels. Both the rebels and government soldiers tortured civilians claiming espionage by civilians. In this kind of situation who should the people of gulu turn to?I live the rest for you to conclude. It is a shame that this is still happening in the world of today.Mohapi
