Bungoma - A 27-year-old man in Bungoma, Kenya, reportedly killed himself following a domestic dispute with his wife of two months.

Charles Khaemba and Irene Nasike got married just two months ago, but relatives said the couple had been quarreling ever since.

Khaemba is said to have committed suicide after Nasike fled with his academic documents.

He committed the act in his sitting room, using a rope on Sunday, The Star reported.

Efforts by the family to reach Nasike have been futile as she could not be reached on phone.

This is not the first such case in the area.

Last week, a middle-aged man set himself on fire after his wife failed to cook him fish.

The couple quarreled for a while before engaging in a fight that forced the wife to run away.

He then locked himself in the house and set it on fire, burning his buttocks and head.
