WATCH: Incumbent Keita wins Mali run-off election

Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has been re-elected for a five-year term after winning in a runoff ballot by 67.17%.

Keita, 73, was up against opposition challenger and former finance minister Soumaila Cisse, 68, who took 32.83% of the vote on Sunday.

The voting turnout was low, at 34.5%.

Violence in Mali has been at an increase in the first half of the year, with 930 reported militant attacks for 2018 already.
