4 rhino poachers killed, 17 arrested in Kruger Park

Four suspected rhino poachers have been killed and 17 arrested in the Kruger National Park this week, SA National Parks (SANParks) has said.

The arrests were made at various parts of the park including Kingfisherspruit, Crocodile Bridge, Lower Sabie, Letaba, Mooiplaas and in adjacent areas along the Mozambican boundary, SANParks said today in a statement.

A total of 117 people have been arrested in the Kruger National Park this year and the park has lost 521 rhinos in 2013.
