A delicious twist to social media

2014-08-05 08:00

Most of us live on and off Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and other social-media networks for our daily news, images, memes, Vines and inspiration.

Visual artist Daryna Kossar, who uses everyday objects to create art, decided it was time to take a bite out of the most popular social-media networks and create their logos out of food.

For Instagram, Kossar used bread, a cup of coffee, Nutella and some chocolate.

For Facebook, she used blueberries, while Pinterest was created using pomegranate rubies.

Playful and delicious, Kossar’s work is intended to encourage people to look at their favourite websites and smartphone apps in a different light. Like. Pin. Retweet.
