Agliotti off the hook

2010-11-25 14:00

Glenn Agliotti is no longer accused of the Brett Kebble murder.

The Johannesburg High Court today acquitted Agliotti of all charges relating to Kebble’s murder and the attempted murder of Allan Gray investment chief Stephen Mildenhall.

A jubilant Agliotti kissed his advocate, Laurance Hodes, on both cheeks before being swamped by journalists.

In his judgment, Judge Frans Kgomo lambasted the State for their conduct of the prosecution and said Agliotti’s rights were infringed upon.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga said the state would study Kgomo’s judgment before making any comment.
